The Client’s Challenge
JPAS is the Department of Defense (DoD)
personnel security migration information
system designed to standardize and
re-engineer DoD personnel security
processes. It is also designed to
achieve interoperability with the Defense
Security Service (DSS) and improve data
exchange with the DoD Accession community.
Due to the size and complexity of this
system, the customer needed an independent
and objective resource to test and validate
system code.
Meeting the Challenge
HAI developed and implemented an IV&V
process for handling, maintaining, and
controlling complex changes to the Joint
Personnel Adjudication System test and
production baselines. Our structured
approach for creating test scenarios,
requirements analysis and traceability,
along with the implementation of an
automated test tool, has achieved quality
results in testing and helped minimize
system errors and risks to the user
community.
